ROBUST POLICIES
We have a very robust policy such as Management policies and procedures, Safeguarding policy and procedures, Confidentiality and Data protection etc.
We provide safe, Service User-focused, 24 hour and 7-day services. We facilitate empowerment and semi-independence for adults with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, neurological disorders, dementia, people with learning disabilities and people discharged from hospital with continuing care. This is achieved by supporting them within the comfort of their own home by using ‘Person-Centred Approach’ in developing individual care planning.
The type of support we provide include:
PERSONAL CARE
Washing, showering, bathing, dressing, undressing, continence management, management of mobility, nutritional needs care, maintaining fluid intake, assistance with getting up and going to bed
DOMESTIC HELP
Shopping, housework, laundry, finances/pension collection, meal preparation, social integration, social visits, outings, day or night sitting services Specialist services – support of people with Autism, support of people with dementia, neurological disorder, a muscular disorder like – muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, severe epilepsy including the use of rescue medications and behaviour management

WE MAKE SURE OUR SERVICES IS SAFE
By making sure we carry out risk assessments on the environment and individual service user
By making sure staff are trained on medication handling and carry out risk assessments before they give medication to service users.
By making sure each staff are trained on health and safety to identify hazards and risks and be able to deal with them.
By ensuring staff are trained on implementing manual handling and risks assessments before they carry out tasks such as using hoist equipment for moving service users for example from bed to chair or from chair to toilet. Also from wheelchair to bed and so on. Staff must check the brakes, the batteries, make sure that slings are the right size and communicating well with service users.
By ensuring service users and staff are kept safe from any form of harm and abuse.
All staff must be trained in food handling and make sure their hands are thoroughly washed before and after food preparation. Staff will be trained and make sure they check the care plan of individual service users to understand and meet individual needs. Supervision will be carried out on each staff to make sure they are performing up to standards. Any form of abuse must be reported to the registered care manager for proper investigation and further action.Policies on Safeguarding and While-blowing must be reviewed from time to time
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION OF STAFF
All our supervisors and support staff are recruited based on the following:

Proof of identity such as passport including a recent photograph.

Certificate of education and previous healthcare vocational training

CV showing details of previous work and experiences
-
A DBS criminal record certificate issued within a year or on the update service
-
2 references (professional and character) to show satisfactory evidence of good conduct in previous employment.
